Taiwan Tourism looks to raise awareness in Middle East

The Taiwan Tourism Bureau’s Middle East office is adopting a two-pronged approach to capture the growing numbers from this region.
The tourism bureau held multi-city roadshows as a kick-off to promote the destination among B2B and B2C segment alike.
The three city roadshow were held in Muscat, Oman and Dubai with a MICE evening in Abu Dhabi and roadshows in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The Taiwan delegation included LongYun Leisure Farm, Sunrise Travel Service, Taiwan Leisure Farm Development Association, Edison Travel Service Co. Ltd, Pro-Tour Express Inc, Big 5 Tours Co Ltd, Edo Travel Services Ltd, Tai-Yi Red Maple Resort, Roll in Farm, Golden Foundation Tours, and the Department of Information & Tourism, Taipei City Government.
Deputy director general, Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Shu Chan Chan and Arthur Hsieh, director Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Singapore office also attended the events. As per statistics, Taiwan achieved a total tourist arrival figure of 10 million in 2015; a figure that is projected to increase this year.
Taiwan Tourism Bureau has also been working towards creating a user-friendly environment for Muslim travellers.
