Taiwan welcomes first Chinese cruise ship

A cruise ship carrying 1,600 mainland Chinese tourists arrived in Taiwan on Monday, marking the first direct cross-strait cruise.
Xinhua reported that Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas liner made the 40-hour voyage from Shanghai to Keelung Harbour, where it was greeted by a welcoming ceremony complete with traditional Chinese dragon and lion dances.
