Taiwan’s railway stations to get facelift

Taiwan is planning a major refurbishment of its railway stations, the China Post has reported. Twenty-three of the 28 stations between Hualien and Taitung will be given a TW$6.1 billion (US$185 million) facelift over the next five years, with renovations getting under way at the beginning of next year. Some of the stations will be completely rebuilt, the report added.
