V Air, the Taiwanese low-cost carrier, has announced plans to launch its first ever flights to the Philippines.
Commencing on 27 March 2016, the new Taipei-Manila service will operate four times a week using a 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft or a 194-seat A321.
Flights will depart Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 1700, arriving at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 1900. The return flights will then leave the Philippine capital at 2000 and arrive back in Taiwan at 2200.
Promotional one-way fares start at US$17, with standard ticket prices from US$65.
V Air commenced operations in December 2014 and currently operates flights to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Siem Reap, Busan, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Osaka. It will also expand in Japan next month with the opening of services to Tokyo Haneda and Ibaraki.
