TAM Airlines has urged travellers going to Argentina and Uruguay not to travel to Heathrow Airport as flights continue to be disrupted in South America. The airline said it is not accepting any passengers with a final destination in either country to avoid more congestion at Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (where connections take place). It also warned that hotels at Heathrow were ‘full’ and said passengers should stay at home or in their current destination. Buenos Aires abd Aeroparque airports remain closed due to an ash cloud from a Chilean volcano. TAM said the situation is changing constantly.
