The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is organising a series of training seminars designed to boost the marketing skills of tourism companies in the country. The ‘Training of Modern Marketing Tourism for Main Tourist Cities’ course will be held in Chonburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Krabi and Chiang Rai, while the same course for ‘Minor Tourist Cities’ will take place in Rayong, Samut Songkhram, Chumphon, Tak and Loei. A ‘Training of Online Tourism Marketing’ course will be hosted in Phitsanulok, Bangkok, Koh Samui, Surat Thani and Udon Thani, while a seminar on ‘Quality Tourists Marketing Promotion for Overseas Markets’ will be held in Bangkok, and will focus on the South Korean and American markets. All will be free-of-charge except the overseas markets seminar, which will cost THB800 (US$26) per person).
“The 15 seminars are being organised in both primary and secondary destinations nationwide and are designed to enhance their competitive advantage. At least 1,200 people are expected to participate,” said Pensuda Prai-aram, the TAT’s Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Tourism Business. “The TAT believes that these seminars will help everyone involved in tourism promotion to better understand the significant changes taking place in the way tourism is being marketed globally, to keep up with the latest trends and innovations, and improve the quality and professionalism of their own marketing plans and strategies,” she added.
Registration is now open and applicants will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis.
