Indonesia’s Tauzia Hotel Management has opened a new POP! budget hotel in Yogyakarta.
Located close to the Tugu Yogyakarta monument, POP! Hotel Sangaji Tugu Yogyakarta offers 151 rooms, iPad check-in, free Wi-Fi, a light breakfast area and two meeting rooms with a capacity of up to 60 people.
Tauzia’s President Director, Marc Steinmeyer, who participated in a tree-planting ceremony to launch the hotel, said the property would also have strong green credentials.
“Our opening theme ‘Plant Today for a Greener Tomorrow’ communicates our effort to initiate eco-friendly activities with each of our POP! hotels,” said Steinmeyer. “We plant the trees today to start the green campaign towards our guests who come for leisure and business in Yogyakarta.”
Tauzia plans to have 30 Pop! properties operating by the end of 2014. Existing hotels in Denpasar, Bandung and Yogyakarta will be joined by a further eight properties in Bali, eight in Jakarta, five in Surabaya, and other openings in Yogyakarta, Lampung, Solo, Makassar, Balikpapan and Semarang.
