Technical glitch grounds China’s first A380

China Southern Airlines was forced to suspend operations of its first Airbus A380 on Saturday due to a mechanical fault. The Guangzhou-based carrier announced the grounding in a statement, without revealed details of the fault. It added however, that it would need to import parts from abroad to fix the problem
China Southern only received its first superjumbo two weeks ago. It operates the 506-seat aircraft on the Beijing-Shanghai route.
