THAI boosts Asian routes

Thai Airways International (THAI) will boost frequencies on a series of Asian routes for its forthcoming winter schedules, commencing 30 October.
The emerging markets of India and China are a key focus; THAI will increase Bangkok-Xiamen and Bangkok-Beijing flights from three to four per week, while flights to Chengdu will be increased from four to five per week. Services to Mumbai will be boosted from five to six per week, while extra capacity will be added on flights to Hyderabad with the introduction of an Airbus A330-300. Services to the Sri Lanka capital, Colombo will now be operated using a Boeing 777-200.
Other Asia Pacific destinations seeing increased flights from Bangkok include Perth, (from three to four weekly flights), Singapore (from 28 to 35) and Osaka (from 14 to 17). Flights to Nagoya will rise from three to four per week from 1 January 2012. In addition, THAI will boost capacity to Busan and Jakarta, using an A330-300 and a B747-400 on these respective routes.
In Europe, THAI will boost flights to Oslo from five to seven per week and to Moscow from three to four per week.
Domestically, THAI will increase its Bangkok-Hat Yai service from three to four weekly flights.
