Thai Airways International (THAI) is offering young people the chance to learn how to become a pilot with a one-day ‘Youth Pilot Summer Camp’.
The camp, which is available for 10-23 year-olds, will offer instruction and training in THAI’s flight simulators. The camp will be held on 7 August 2015 and open for up to 70 people.
“This is the first time for [THAI] to conduct such a programme,” said Squadron Leader Sathaporn Charoensiri, THAI’s executive vice president of operations. “The Young Pilot Summer Camp… aims to let young people enjoy flying experiences, to emphasise learning outside the classroom and to inspire young children.”
Attendees will be offered flight training, including the chance to experience simulations of life in the cockpit of Boeing 747 and Airbus A380 aircraft.
