Thai Airways has decided not to scrap its direct Bangkok-Los Angeles services, which has previously been scheduled to stop last Sunday, the Bangkok Post has reported. The carrier had intended to re-route the service via Osaka, however the recent oil price slump have improved the viability of ultra-long-haul services. THAI will now continue running direct flights to LAX until 31 January 2009.
