Thai to offer special Hajj flights

Thai Airways has revealed it will operate special flights for Thai Muslims planning to go on the Hajj Pilgrimage to Mecca this year. THAI will operate the Hajj flights from 29 September – 28 November. THAI has arranged 60 special flights, inbound and outbound combined, utilising A330-300 aircraft with 295-seat capacities. The airline is expected to provide services to 8,850 passengers. From 29 September to 15 October, there will be 26 flights departing from Hat Yai, two flights from Phuket, one flight from Krabi and one flight from Suvarnabhumi Airport destined for Manidah Airport. For the return flights, from 12-28 November, there will be 26 flights departing from Jeddah to Hat Yai, two flights to Phuket, one flight to Krabi and one flight to Bangkok. Flight schedules may change depending on the approval of the Department of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia.The airline will serve Halal dishes onboard, prepared by THAI’s Halal kitchen and approved by HAL-Q international standards.
