Thai Airways International (THAI) has sought co-operation from the government to strictly ensure that all air travel by officials of government agencies, state enterprises and public organisations is with the flag carrier.
The Bangkok Post reported that the request is in response to calls by some officials to use other carriers which offer lower fares or better connections. Although the long-standing official rule compels government officials travel fly THAI, exceptions have been allowed in recent years, the report said.
