Thailand airports see positive start to 2010

Passenger traffic at six of Thailand’s main airports saw double-digit growth in the first two months of 2010, according to the latest data from Airports of Thailand (AoT). Passenger traffic at Bangkok’s two airports (Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang), Phuket, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Hat Yai, increased 24% to 11.08 million in January and February this year. International passenger traffic grew 26.2% to 6.88 million, while domestic traffic saw a marginal 0.6% rise, to 4.2 million passengers.
