Thailand, MasterCard launch retail tourism event
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has joined forces with MasterCard to launch a new retail tourism event in the Kingdom.
Thailand Miracle Shopping 2012 will offer travel and retail deals to domestic and international shoppers when they pay with MasterCard.
“We are confident that the Thailand Miracle Shopping 2012 campaign will build on the proven success of previous campaigns between TAT and MasterCard,” said Vilaiwan Twichasri, the TAT’s Deputy Governor for Tourism Products & Business.
“At TAT, our goal is to support Thai merchants by encouraging locals and tourists to spend in Thailand… With MasterCard’s wonderful and consistent support, there is no doubt that Thai and foreign shoppers who hold MasterCard cards will take advantage of the ‘miracle’ travel deals offered throughout this campaign.”
Gregg Hirano, MasterCard’s Country Manager for Thailand, added; “In our many collaborations with the Tourism Authority of Thailand over the years, MasterCard’s focus continues to be on providing consumers with the best way to pay. At Thailand Miracle Shopping 2012, MasterCard cardholders can look forward to a wealth of exclusive privileges and rewards. In addition, with many of the special deals hosted on the campaign website, we hope to bring the experience of fast, safe, and convenient online shopping to consumers in Thailand as well as to those who intend to visit.”
The Thailand Miracle Shopping 2012 campaign runs from 1 June 2012 to 11 July 2012, with the travel period (for travel packages) from 15 June 2012 through 30 September 2012. The event is supported by a dedicated website (thailandmiracleshopping.com), while a Thailand Miracle Shopping event will be held at Central Plaza Ladprao, Bangkok, from 12-15 July.
