The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is preparing to spend THB20-30 million (US$615,000-922,000) in a short-term campaign to lure back Asian travellers. According to a Bangkok Post report, the move is designed to combat the negative publicity caused by the recent anti-government protests in Bangkok, and will be focused on attracting visitors during next month’s Songkran holidays.
