Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) held the TCEB-India Exhibition Roadshow 2010 in New Delhi and Mumbai last week. The project aims to promote business opportunities in ASEAN through the platform of exhibitions and trade shows in Thailand. According to the Thai Ambassador to India, Krit Kraichitti, Thailand eyes India as an important emerging market and the establishment of the Thailand-India Free Trade Agreement has boosted trade relations, providing India with a business avenue to ASEAN. Mr Chen Namchaisiri, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and President of ASEAN Free Trade Agreement Committee, said that participating at international exhibitions in Thailand will help Indian businesses to extend their reach in Southeast Asia. While exploring business opportunities in Thailand, Indian delegates can enjoy a variety of frills offered by TCEB’s ‘Extra Night, Extra Smile’ privilege scheme. The campaign offers extra privileges to exhibition participants, encouraging them to discover opportunities in the Kingdom. The scheme offers extra support for business travellers, organisers, exhibitors, delegates and visitors worldwide. In addition to the Extra Night component, the ‘Extra Smile’ component delivers special fast track immigration and airport transfers, a complimentary Bangkok city tour, plus special discounts at leading department stores and entertainment outlets.
