The Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) festival is now well underway promising visitors to the destination an exciting line-up of family entertainment.
Tourists visiting The Dubai Mall will be able to treat their little ones to an exciting adventure as The Gruffalo visits every day from now until 17 July, as part of the DSS festivities.
Working in collaboration with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), The Dubai Mall will be bringing the much-loved and iconic children’s book to life through two special activity areas in the mall, providing lots of fun and entertainment for its youngest visitors.
Head to the Souk Atrium for the beginning of the adventure, ‘The Gruffalo Trail’. Kids will explore their way through the pop-up forest, trying to locate large statues of the book’s characters, hidden along the trail. Visitors will be given a map to help them navigate their way through and will receive a stamp for each of the statues they visit.
Once the map is full of stamps, kids can move on to the Star Atrium to enjoy a specially-themed ‘Gruffalo Activity Zone’. This includes arts and crafts areas and a story corner where The Gruffalo story will be read every day. Children will also have the opportunity to meet and greet the star of the book himself, The Gruffalo.
