MICHAEL SENGOL has been selected to lead the Bintan Lagoon Resort. The hospitality industry veteran takes the role of interim managing director at the 470-room Indonesian property, bringing 40 years of experience to the resort. He previously served as chief executive officer of Meritus Hotels & Resorts.
THOMAS GULDAGER CHRISTIANSEN has been named as the new general manager of FRHI’s two Cambodian hotels – Raffles Hotel Le Royal and Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor. Christiansen has more than 27 years of experience and moves from Bangkok, where he was general manager of the Grand Millennium Sukhumvit.
VASU RAJA has been promoted to the position of vice president of international revenue management with American Airlines. He first joined the company in 2004 and has held a variety of sales and planning roles including, most recently, managing director of international revenue management.
NIALL COWAN has been appointed general manager of the Fairmont Sanur Beach Bali. He brings more than 14 years of experience to the role, the last 10 of which have been spent with FRHI Hotels & Resorts. Most recently he served as general manager of the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club.
PRIYA MOKAL has become Absolute Hotel Services’ (AHS) new marketing communications & PR manager for India & Middle East, effective 2 February 2015. She moves to the company’s regional office in Mumbai from Cox & Kings, where she served as the company’s assistant marketing manager.
HATAICHANOK PANEIAM has been announced as the Grand Millennium Sukhumvit hotel’s new assistant director of sales – leisure. A Thai national, Ms Hataichanok has worked in the hotel industry since 2003, including spell with Holiday Inn and Novotel. Most recently she worked at the Rest Detail Hotel Hua Hin.
