SEAN TREACY has become Royal Caribbean Cruises’ new managing director for Singapore & Southeast Asia. Treacy has worked for the company since 2006, most recently as regional commercial director for Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Royal Caribbean he worked for United Airlines.
CINDY ALLEN has been appointed chief marketing officer for American Express Global Business Travel. Ms Allen joins the company from Concur, where she held the position of vice president of TMC services since 2013. Prior to this she was CEO of GDSX for five years until it became part of Concur.
PAUL SIMMONS has been named as the new chief commercial officer at Malaysia Airlines, effective 1 December 2015. Simmons brings 28 years’ experience to the KL-based carrier, most recently as chief commercial officer of UK-based Flybe. He has also worked in the hotel sector for IHG and Oberoi.
JOE NG has been appointed as Furama Hotels International’s new regional director of sales – corporate. Ng brings 14 years of hospitality experience to the role, including spells in several high-end hotels. Most recently, he was M Hotel Singapore’s assistant director of sales – corporate.
KILLIAN DONOGHUE has been announced as the new general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok. Donoghue has worked with Marriott since 2001, holding sales & marketing roles across Europe and Asia. He moves to Bangkok following a spell as GM of the Renaissance Koh Samui.
ELAINE CHIN has become the new director of sales & marketing at the Taipei Marriot Hotel. Ms Chin joins the new hotel with 18 years’ experience. She has worked with Marriott since 2012, most recently as the director of sales & marketing at the Marriott Luwan in Shanghai.
JIMMY KAM has been appointed general manager at the Swissôtel Foshan, in south China’s Guangdong province. Kam brings more than 20 years’ experience to the hotel, most recently as director of sales & marketing at the Wanda Vista Dongguan and Wanda Realm Guangzhou Zengcheng.
ELOK FITRI HANIFAH has been announced as the new director of sales at the Park Regis Kuta Bali Hotel. Having started her career as a travel agent in 1995, Ms Elok has entered the hotel sector with the Blue Point Villas & Resort. She has since gained 10 years of hotel experience in Bali and Lombok.
