Junus bin Suhid has been appointed UK and Ireland director at Tourism Malaysia. Suhid was previously a deputy director in the industry development division for more than three years and begins with immediate effect.
Sarah Dooley has returned to the Lowcostbeds Group as a key account manager. Dooley joins the company from WTH Ltd where she was product and partnerships manager. Her focus at lowcostbeds will be to develop sales through national and regional accounts.
Marc Charron has been appointed president of TripAdvisor for Business. Charron will be based in London and has worked at the reviews site since 2006. He was the company’s first international employee heading up TripAdvisor Europe and in 2010 moved to Singapore to set up its Asia Pacific headquarters.
Jo Bachelor has been named as the new head of sales at Encore Tickets. Bachelor’s appointment completes its sales team to help partners sell theatre tickets and will report to Encore’s sales and operations director Johan Oosterveld.
Tracey Warner-Arnold has extended her responsibilities at the Saint Lucia Tourist Board to oversee its advertising, PR, online presence, social media and brand partnerships. Warner-Arnold, who is deputy director of tourism, is taking over from former VP of marketing and sales Nerdin St Rose who has left to pursue other endeavours.
Kerry Wilson has joined Church House Conference Centre as business development executive. Wilson joins the London centre from events agency Don’t Panic. She has also worked for The Monastery, Manchester and has a degree in events management.
Alon Marcovici has been named vice president, global marketing at G Adventures. Marcovici was previously vice president of consumer sales and marketing at Canadian national newspapers The Globe and Mail. He will be based in the company’s head office in Toronto.
Rory MacAleece has been appointed general manager at Nira Caledonia, Edinburgh. MacAleece joins the Nira group after four years as general manager at The Chester Residence, Edinburgh. He has also worked for Hilton and Apex Hotels.
Mia Kyricos has been named as chief brand officer at SpaFinder Wellness. In a newly-created role, Kyrios will lead the company’s brand initiatives and oversee marketing, advertising, PR and digital strategies. Kyricos has been working with the company through her own consulting agency ahead of its ‘brand evolution’ launch in Q4.
