Markella Votsi has been appointed director of sales and marketing for ME London. Vosti has been manager of the property since September 2013 but will now manage the sales strategy for the Melia hotel. She has previously worked with Millennium, Bailey’s Hotels, Hilton and The Langham London.
John Warr has joined Wendy Wu Tours as head of sales. Starting earlier this week, Warr is now responsible for all sales within the tour operator. He joins from Thomas Cook where he was head of sales.
James Mueller has joined Etihad Airways as senior vice president sales. Mueller joins the airline from United Airlines where he spent five years in various senior roles. His experience also includes more than 15 years at Northwest Airlines/Delta Airlines.
Sophie Krishnan has been named vice president of global marketing and product at Egencia. Krishnan has previously served as Egencia’s vice president of strategy and business development. She will now help the company continue to improve its travel and service.
Lisa Stewart has joined the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board as the UK & Ireland MICE representative. Stewart joins the tourism board with hotel experience with Handpicked Hotels, Le Meridien, Radisson SAS, IHG and Malmaison. She will build key account relationships and spot new MICE business in the UK & Ireland.
Tara Xavier has been appointed UK & Ireland sales manager at KAYAK. Xavier joins the comparison website from lastminute.com where she was agency account manager and at KAYAK will be responsible for growing revenue from suppliers and media agencies.
Neil Morris has been named interim chief financial officer of Air Partner. Morris will take up the role on 1 April after being the company’s group financial controller since July. HE was previously group finance director of All Leisure Group and also spent 11 years at Deloitte.
Fred Dixon has been named as the new president and CEO of NYC & Company. Dixon succeeds George Fertitta who stepped down from the role earlier this year. Dixon joined NYC & Co in 2005 and led the expansion of its international marketing efforts.
Robert A. Warman has been appointed CEO of Langham Hospitality Group. Warman has more than 33 years of experience in the hospitality industry and was most recently president and chief operating officer of Capella Hotel Group. He succeeds Brett Butcher, who is retiring from the hotel company.
