CHONG KEE HIONG has been named Chief Executive Officer of The Ascott Limited, CapitaLand’s serviced apartment company. Chong was previously was the CEO of Ascott Residence Trust Management Limited which he led since its launch in 2006.
CK NG has been announced as the new Executive Director of Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA). The move marks a promotion for Ng, who was previously the AA’s Deputy Director of Airport Operations. He has more than 27 years’ airport management experience.
PHILIP LOGAN has been named as the new Vice President of Formule 1 Hotels in India. Logan has been with Accor since 2000 when he joined the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre. He also led the launch of the Hyderabad International Convention Centre.
LEE CHEE KOON has been appointed as Ascott’s new Deputy CEO and Managing Director for the company’s North Asia division. Prior to this appointment Lee was Vice President in the office of the President of CapitaLand, Ascott’s parent company.
VINCENT WEE has been announced as Ascott’s new Managing Director for the India & GCC region. A Singaporean national, Wee is also Deputy CEO of the Ascott Residence Trust Management Limited. He was previously with the Australand Property Group.
SAMIR WILDEMANN has been confirmed as the first General Manager of the Okura Prestige Bangkok. A German national, Wildemann joins the new hotel with 22 years’ experience at hotels in Hong Kong, Paris, Singapore and Bangkok.
STEPHEN PETTIBONE has been announced as the new Vice President of Investor Relations for Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Pettibone has worked in the hotel company’s finance team for nearly five years, prior to which he was employed with Sabre Holdings.
CIARAN HICKEY has been named Director of F&B at W Seoul Walkerhill. Hickey has been responsible for all the kitchen-related activities at the hotel since 2007, and now takes on the expanded role of F&B operations. He previously worked for Four Seasons.
JUNYA ONO has been appointed Director of Sales & Marketing for the Okura Prestige Bangkok. A Japanese national, he joins the new hotel’s opening team following a 26-year career at hotels including The Ritz-Carlton Osaka and Mandarin Oriental Bangkok.
RON SHASHI KUMAR has joined One World Hotel as Assistant Director of Learning & Development. Kumar has 19 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, most recently as Assistant Director of Learning & Development at the Saujana Hotel, KL.
DANIELLE GENTY-NOTT has been appointed as Tourism New Zealand’s new Regional Manager for the UK & Europe. Ms Genty-Nott arrives at the tourist board from Sky City, where served as Director of Sales, International. She will be based in London.
CHRISTIAN KNERR has been named as the new Executive Chef at the InterContinental Bali Resort. A German national, Chef Christian has worked in three Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe. He was previously Executive Chef for IHG in Dubai.
