In my last column I spoke about how earlier this summer Royal Caribbean invited a number of top mummy bloggers and their families for an exclusive VIP day onboard Independence of the Seas to help showcase the family friendly credentials of cruising.
The blogger day marked an extension of our Royal Mums programme which in January saw us begin working together with a select group of mummy bloggers as key family ambassadors for our brand to encourage peer to peer recommendations on family holiday choices.
Building on from our Royal Mums programme and in keeping with Royal Caribbean’s desire to be the most family friendly cruise line, earlier this month we launched our very own ‘Search for the Royal Family’.
The brief is simple – we’re looking for an incredible family that has never cruised before to become the ‘Royal Family’ to act as our official family ambassadors for 2014. The lucky winners will enjoy a host of amazing money can’t buy experiences throughout 2014 and report back on their experiences, including a Royal Caribbean holiday in half term and an invitation to the launch of our newest ship Quantum of the Seas in Autumn 2014.
To be in with a chance to win, families simply need to visit Royal Caribbean’s Facebook page and post, in no more than 150 words, why they believe they should become the Royal Caribbean ‘Royal Family’ along with a picture of their family. As an added incentive, we’re offering 20 families the chance to attend an exclusive preview of DreamWorks latest 3D film Turbo on Sunday 13 October 2013 in London. These 20 families will be picked at random.
For even the most adventurous among us, trying a new kind of holiday for the first time is a big decision especially with one’s family, but a cruise with Royal Caribbean International offers so much more – especially when compared to land based holidays. For those keen to come on the journey of lifetime in 2014 and experience just how much fun life can be on a cruise holiday with Royal Caribbean, my advice is don’t delay and get your entry in now as the competition is only open until 13 October.
If you and your family are lucky enough to make the final three you’ll be invited onboard Independence of the Seas in Southampton to make a video of your very first experience onboard. The ultimate winner will then be selected by votes from Royal Caribbean’s UK Facebook fans combined with a panel of experts including Olympian and mother of three, Sally Gunnell and some of our official Royal Mums. Good luck!
