Jamie-Lee Abtar, founder of Be Distinctly Different and Your Caribbean, is launching a new one-day event called The Travel Marketing Toolkit for travel brands to learn actionable marketing, PR and branding strategies with the first one taking place at the Barbados Museum on the 5th January 2017.
A Caribbean national herself, Jamie-Lee is now based in the UK as she manages her business Be Distinctly Different which helps travel brands to differentiate themselves in the industry, and connects them with the trade.
Abtar commented: “The Travel Marketing Toolkit is designed to teach travel brands how they can stand out in the marketplace and become more appealing to the trade. We have four interactive sessions held across the 10am – 3.45pm day covering Travel Marketing, Travel Branding, Travel PR and Digital Marketing for the Travel Industry plus networking opportunities with Travel Talk.”
With a background that saw stints working with the Caribbean Tourism Organisation, Prestige Caribbean (now Prestige World), Haiti Tourism and the Sri Lanka Training program, Abtar added: “Those attending the event will learn how to engage with the millennial traveller, develop their distinctly different advantage, create an enticing brand story and sell it both offline and online, generate PR coverage that will build awareness and drive sales and choose the right social platforms for your business, manage them effectively and prepare for times of crises.”
Venue sponsor for the event is the Barbados Museum, where The Travel Marketing Toolkit will be hosted and will include a garden networking lunch and Travel Talk- an evening of networking in the upper garden courtyard.
Early Bird Registration is available from July until 15 August 2016 at US$87.50 (usually US$112), accommodation packages and group booking discount for three or more delegates are available.
