Thrifty Car Rental, which is part of the Hertz group, has expanded its network to Singapore with the opening of two downtown locations.
The new outlets, located on Ubi Road and Alexandra Road, will be operated by franchise partner Sime Darby and offer a range of vehicles, from compacts to luxury cars and SUVs, for both corporate and leisure customers.
Michel Taride, group president of Hertz, said the launch of Thrifty in Singapore forms part of the brand’s “growth strategy across Asia”.
“Thrifty’s expansion to an important business and tourist destination such as Singapore results in more choices for those car rental customers who seek convenience, great value and the trust of a global brand. Sime Darby’s reputation and strength in the local automotive sector presents a significant growth potential for Thrifty in Singapore,” said Taride.
Thrifty started its expansion to Asia last year and now operates in Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines.
