Tianjin Airlines has set up a new operating base in Guiyang, the capital of southwest China’s Guizhou province.
Initially, the carrier will operate a fleet of five aircraft from Guiyang’s Longdongbao International Airport, serving domestic routes to more than 20 cities, including Tianjin, Fuzhou, Xi’an, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Wuhan and Changsha.
It plans to increase this deployment in future, including basing twin-aisle Airbus A330 aircraft at Guiyang. This will enable it to launch long-haul services to Europe, Oceania and North America.
Guiyang becomes Tianjin Airlines’ fifth base in China, following Tianjin, Xi’an, Hohhot and Urumqi.
