SINGAPORE, 14 October 2009. Tiger Airways, Singapore’s low fare airline, is celebrating the recent economic recovery reported in the media. To further stimulate growth, Tiger is promoting regional tourism and travel by extending the sales period of a highly successful promotion of low fare services.
Tiger Airways’ original offer from 6th to 14th October 2009 of an unbeatable 100,000 seats at ONE cent each, exclusive of taxes and airport charges, to 12 destinations (Bangkok, Jakarta, Haikou, Hat Yai, Phuket, Krabi, Kuching, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi, Padang, Penang and Ho Chi Minh City) will be extended to 21st October 2009 for travel from 6th January to 30th September 2010.
The best news for travellers is that an additional 90,000 seats are now made available, after the initial 100,000 seats from the first promotion were snapped up within a week of its launch.
Rosalynn Tay, Managing Director of Tiger Airways Singapore said, “We don’t just say we are happy that signs of economic recovery are appearing, we spread our happiness in the most effective way we know - low fares for even more travellers!”
At its 5th Anniversary celebrations on 15th September 2009, Tiger Airways reached the significant milestone of carrying ten million passengers. This development reflects the rising trend among savvy travellers and businessmen towards value-for-money point-to-point air transport in the Asia Pacific. Tiger Airways is in a unique position to help Singapore strengthen its aim to be a regional aviation hub and help bring unbeatable value to travellers.
