Tiger Airways marks milestone

Low-cost carrier Tiger Airways has honoured its 20 millionth passenger at Singapore Airport.Lock Sau Lai, a regular Tiger passenger, was returning to Singapore from Phuket with her family on 8 June on flight TR2153, when she was met with huge roars by the Tiger team. She also received a SGD200 flight voucher from Stewart Adams, Managing Director of Tiger Airways Singapore. Adams said: “This is a significant milestone for Tiger Airways. In August 2010, we welcomed our 15 millionth passenger, and in just 10 months, we’ve seen another five million Tiger passengers.”In celebration of this key milestone, Tiger Airways is offering consumers 20 per cent off flights to 20 destinations – including Chennai, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Hat Yai, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Krabi, Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Macau, Manila (Clark), Manila (Naia), Penang, Perth, Phuket, Shenzhen, Taipei, Tiruchirapalli and Trivandrum. The airline is also running a contest on its Facebook page until 15 June. Twenty fans will be rewarded with SGD50 flight vouchers for taking part in an online word puzzle.
