Tiger Airway has been given permission to up flight frequency ahead of the busy Christmas period. The Civil Aviation Authority of Australia (CASA) has raised the daily flight quota imposed on Tiger following its grounding in July on safety concerns. The operator can now operate 32 flights per day, up from 22 previously. According to the Herald Sun, the airline, which flies out of Melbourne, said its new flight schedule would include two extra daily return services from Melbourne to Sydney, and one extra daily service to Perth, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
