To celebrate the launch of Thomas Cook’s new Manchester to Tobago service on 13 November, the Tobago Tourist Office is heading to the city’s Trafford Centre shopping centre on 1st and 2nd October to give Mancunian’s a taste of Tobago.
The Trafford Centre’s ground floor will come alive with the sights and sounds of the Caribbean island and shoppers will be able to visit a specially created 13mx5m ‘Tobago Island’ stand get involved by participating in a series of interactive experiences. Certain to create some excitement and laughs, visitors will be able to enjoy an immersive selfie against a tropical underwater backdrop; an interactive virtual reality cycling tour of the island – and a limbo dance challenge accompanied by Calypso and traditional Tobagonian Soca tunes.
Members of the tourist office team will be on hand to answer questions about the island and update visitors with the latest news, offers, and how they can book through the trade. There will also be a series of spot prizes throughout the two day event, as well as a grand prize draw of a holiday for two including flights on the new Thomas Cook service.
The new direct flight from Manchester to Tobago will launch in November. Departing every Sunday from 13 November to 19 March the airline will operate a weekly 9-hour direct flight departing Manchester at 09h40; with the return flight departing Tobago Sunday afternoon, arriving back into Manchester at 07h15 on Monday morning, following a touchdown in Barbados.
