Do you suffer from vertigo? Well you’d better stay away from Toronto’s later visitor “attraction”. Beginning this week, visitors to the Canadian city are being invited to walk around the edge of the city’s tallest building – the 553-metre high CN Tower. EdgeWalk, as the new activity is aptly known, will enable visitors to stand 116 storeys above the ground and traverse the edge of a circular platform around the building. A safety rail and harness system will also allow guests to lean out over the city.
“We’re extremely excited this day is finally here,” said Mark Laroche, president & CEO of Canada Lands Company, owner and operator of the CN Tower. “The public has shown that they are ready and eager to push their limits by taking part in Toronto’s most exciting attraction in decades.”
The entire EdgeWalk experience will run for 1.5 hours, with the outdoor walk lasting approximately 30 minutes. Tickets cost CA$175 (US$183).
