The newly launched MICE division of Tour East Australia is taking part at TABEE this year – its first.
Tour East Australia is a joint venture between Qantas Airways (75%) and the Holiday Tours and Travel/Tour East group based in Singapore.
Tour East Australia was set up in July last year and provides destination management services and is an inbound operator. Rosa Frigel heads up the Conference and Incentive division, which started only December.
Asked if she was entering a saturated inbound sector, she said: “We think we can still deliver very competitive and innovative products.”
Tour East Australia handles inbound bookings previously handled by Qantas Holidays and books in excess of 100,000 customers annually, raking in A$70 million.
