Tourism Australia (TA) and Emirates Airline have launched a new national advertising campaign showcasing Australia to British travellers. Running throughout October, the initiative uses radio, print, online and cinema advertising to promote the country’s unique holiday experiences. “British holidaymakers have had a long standing fascination with Australia, and those that haven’t visited before will get a real sense of our wonderful wildlife, beautiful landscapes and friendly locals, from this campaign,” said Tourism Australia General Manager Rodney Harrex. “Those that have holidayed in Oz before will recognise many of the incredible experiences we’re showcasing, and will be reminded of what made their last trip to Australia so special.” The online and radio advertisements have been tailored to include a regional message to promote the convenience of flying to Australia from either Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle or Glasgow airport with Emirates’ one-stop services via Dubai to Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne. “Australia is a key destination on our global network, and one which continues to grow strongly in popularity with our UK passengers,” said We’re delighted to be joining forces with Tourism Australia for a third successive year to highlight this wonderful and diverse destination, and the ease with which travellers can fly there with Emirates,” said Tourism Australia, Regional General Manager UK and Ireland, Conrad Clifford.
