Welcome to Yorkshire is to launch new Yorkshire Pride courses to help businesses give visitors the best holiday experience. The exciting new concept is part of the award-winning agency’s work to support tourism businesses to be the best they can and help raise the visitor economy by five percent year-on-year. The Yorkshire Pride courses will focus on the role the industry plays in making sure visitors have a great experience, encourage their friends and family to visit, the strength and variety of Yorkshire’s tourism products, how best practise can be shared, new ideas and how to make a difference in your business/organisation. “We pride ourselves on giving people a warm Yorkshire welcome to the great county which has helped drive up visitor numbers,” explained Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire. “These courses are another way of helping support the fantastic tourism businesses we have here and ultimately continuing to build on growing visitor numbers, which in turn benefits the Yorkshire economy.” For more information on the courses, costs and dates - and how to become a member of Welcome to Yorkshire - visit www.yorkshire.com/industry/join-us-membership-scheme/training-opportunities
