Trade access to Italian rail improved

UK travel agents’ access to Italy’s train network has been improved following a deal between Trenitalia and International Rail.
The service allows travel agents to access and book through Trenitalia’s system, view schedules online and print tickets instantly from a pdf file. It includes point-to-point ticket sales with real time availability and offers commission to agents.
“We know that train travel continues to grow in popularity amongst the UK consumer and this services allows our travel trade partners access direct to the Trenitalia train system,” said Rod Maton, chairman of International Rail. “By working with us,our partners can add an excellent bank of rail travel options and thorough know-how which are increasingly crucial elements of the travel trade toolkit”.
