Several travel agencies appeared in the Sunday Times Fast Track 250 announced yesterday.

The ninth edition of the league table lists 250 British companies that have seen sales of operating profit increase by at least 10% year-on-year, are the those behind the Top Track 100.

Lotus Group, which includes the DialAFlight brand, was the highest travel brand listed at 78th with sales at GBP309.9 million and an operating profit of GBP13.1m.

Southall Travel followed at 87th with sales at GBP289.3m and operating profit of GBP13.4m.

Hotel operator Radisson Blu Edwardian was 189th in the league table, with sales at GBP164.5m and underlying profits at GBP33.4m.

“I’m extremely proud to make the list again which is a great accolade for us.  I’m thankful for our strong relationship with our suppliers and to our customers, many of whom book with us time and time again,” said Kuljinder Bahia, CEO of Southall Travel. “We have a talented team in place and we continue to invest in new technology and broadening our product range, hence we have been able to stay ahead of most industry trends.”

Recently-expanded Hays Travel also featured in the list at 231st, bringing sales of GBP141.6m and an underlying profit of GBP1m.

Two thirds of the 250 companies listed in the table improved their numbers on last year.
