The African region’s uptake of Travelport’s Cabforce application is growing in numbers. Recent statistics show that over 70 applications have been downloaded in South Africa and Namibia, more than any other part of the world.
Robyn Christie, general manager – Southern Africa at Travelport, commented: “Cabforce is proving popular in Southern Africa, highlighting the fact that the travel sector in the region is becoming increasingly technologically-savvy.”
Cabforce enables agents the ease in real-time booking of taxis and transfers services. This results in more productive results, efficiency and cost reductions. Agents can also benefit through the mark ups both through integrated tools as well as online sales channels. As per the agreement, agents are paid these mark-ups either quarterly or on a monthly basis.
