Traveltek targets middle east growth with new Dubai operation

UK-based Traveltek Group Ltd, a travel technology provider, has launched a Middle East operation.

The firm, which counts Virgin Holidays, Flight Centre and dnata, as well as its sister companies, Imagine Cruises and Global Travel Group, among its clients, has established an office in Dubai and appointed two travel technology professionals to lead its Gulf expansion strategy.

Vinod Singh comes on board as regional manager, Middle East and India and Vivek Katheriya joins the team as regional sales manager, India and MENA. They will target the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman.

The web-based technology enables agencies and tour operators to package and sell itineraries that include flights, hotels, tours, transfers, car rental, cruises, attractions tickets and more. Companies can package their own stock, third-party stock, or a mixture of both.

Consolidated cruise content from 190 lines, part of an API that connects travel companies to a global database of more than 300 industry suppliers, is available to Traveltek clients, across B2B, B2C, call centre and mobile, with options to localise solutions for the Middle East market, including Arabic-language contentist.
