Donald Trump has won permission from the Scottish government to build a GBP1 billion (US$1.62 billion) golf and housing resort in northeast Scotland, Bloomberg has reported. The 597 hectare resort was opposed by environmentalists who said it encroached on to a nature reserve. The plan was approved however, due to the “significant economic and social benefits” the project offered, according to Scotland’s Finance and Sustainable Growth Minister, John Swinney.
