Two dozen donkeys take flight

Two dozen donkeys were air lifted halfway across the Pacific Ocean last week to a Sanctuary in California. The animals boarded a flight from Hawaii, chartered by the Humane Society of the United States. Drought conditions have recently forced the animals form the hills to low land areas where they have caused all sorts of problems including traffic congestion. The Humane Society responded with a re-homing project for 120 animals. Tracy Miller, Manager of Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue in Tehachapi, told AP that the donkeys had arrived in good condition after their long journey…
