Absolute Hotel Services (AHS) has unveiled plans to open its first U Hotels & Resorts property in Bhutan.
Scheduled to launch in the first half of 2015, U Ariya Thimphu will be located in the centre of the Himalayan kingdom’s capital, Thimphu.
The upscale hotel will feature 46 rooms, including 16 suites and two two-bedroom apartments. Other facilities will include two restaurants, a lounge, fitness centre, spa, library and 230m² of function space.
And like all U Hotels, guests at the Bhutan property will be offered 24-hour room rental from the time of check-in, free Wi-Fi and breakfast served ‘anytime, anywhere’.
“We are delighted to add another U Hotel to our brand portfolio in such a unique setting as well as serving the increasingly high demand in hotel accommodation for travellers to Bhutan,” said Sameer Dharkar, managing director of AHS India.
U Ariya Thimphu will join AHS’ portfolio of 38 U Hotels & Resorts currently operating or in the pipeline in India, Indonesia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.
