UAE economic officials have urged local businesses and investors to tap the ‘very promising markets’ of Iraq’s Kurdistan region. This region serves as a gateway for products and services to all of Iraq with potential sectors such as energy, agriculture, tourism infrastructure, industry, health and education.
“Entry of UAE companies into Kurdistan is aimed at strengthening the economy of all Iraq during the current crisis,” said Al Saleh.
Al Saleh led a high-level 150-strong UAE business delegation representing government departments and major private sector businesses to Erbil. The delegation visited the ‘TRADEUAE Iraq’ – a three-day B2B exhibition. The event urged UAE companies to hunt for bigger investment opportunities in Kurdistan region.
