Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) PJSC has called for companies to submit prequalification bids for grading and enabling works at Al Fujairah International airport in UAE. The work scope includes utility infrastructure, roads, phasing and coordination with other construction contractors and bulk earthworks.
Abu Dhabi Airports (ADA) and Fujairah Airport had signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) to develop an airport development master plan for the Fujairah International Airport, which comprises an expansion program to enhance the terminal.
Through the agreement, ADA will assist Fujairah Airport in compiling a list of proposed component projects and manage third-party project team such as design consultants and construction contractors.
Currently, ADAC is working on construction of the US$2.94 billion (AED10.8 bn) Midfield Terminal Complex (MTC) at Abu Dhabi International Airport in order to accommodate the anticipated 30 million annual passengers by 2017.
In addition, Ajman also approved final plans and designs for the US$571 million (AED2.1 bn) new Ajman International Airport project, which will be opened in 2018.
