UK tour operator Explore is brochuring Oman for the first time.
The Sultanate is one of 12 new destinations added to its 2017- 2018 Family Adventures Programme.
Explore has operated small group adventure holidays since 1981 and offers more than 500 tours across 120 countries.
Besides Oman, Namibia and Mexico were also added in its latest travel brochure.
The Oman programme is a seven-day holiday that includes dolphin watching and camel riding.
It also features road trips to Wadi Tiwi, Finns beach, Sur, Nizwa and Jabel Akhdar, in addition to tours inside the Grand mosque, Bait Al Baranda museum, Muttrah souq and many other iconic locations outside the capital.
“On this adventure, we discover the diverse landscapes of Oman from the soaring dunes of the Wahiba Sands and the Green Mountains of Jabel Akhdar to the royal capital of Muscat,” according to brochure literature.
It describes Oman as “a great adventure in Middle Eastern country that is lesser known than its neighbours”.
