United Continental has revealed it will plan to migrate to a single reservation system early next year. The merged airline has recently aligned its customer policies including their actions on same-day flight changes, standby requests and ancillary charges. Meanwhile in the airports, United Continental has aligned its check-in and boarding processes with minimum check-in and boarding times for international flights at its base in Chicago O’Hare International Airport. New airport signage and rebranding will be implemented at all the airlines’ global check-in and boarding areas in the coming months. In other news, United apologised for reinstating the flight numbers involved in the 9/11 attacks. A spokesperson said that the use of flight numbers 93 and 175 had been down to a technical error.
