United Continental Holdings is rebranding its global airport lounges, rolling-out the new ‘United Club’ facilities from 1 October 2011. All of United’s Red Carpet Club and Continental’s Presidents Club lounges will be renamed, totalling 50 facilities at 39 airports around the world. The move marks the latest step in the two airlines’ full operational merger, which is due for completion in mid-2012.
The new United Clubs will offer a complimentary bar service with light snacks and beverages, and business amenities such as Wi-Fi, conference rooms and workstations. Qualifying passengers can also receive personalised assistance with reservations, seat selection, upgrades and boarding passes.
Existing Red Carpet Club and Presidents Club members may access any of the new United Clubs with their current membership credentials.
