United Airlines has said it expects a smaller decline in passenger unit revenue this quarter. Bloomberg reported that United’s Q3 passenger revenue per passenger mile may fall as much as 19% year-on-year, slightly improved from the 20% in Q2.
“While we are continuing to see the adverse impact of soft demand on our revenues, the deterioration has abated a bit compared to what we experienced in the second quarter,” United’s Chief Financial Officer, Kathryn Mikells, was reported saying in a message to employees yesterday.
