DiscoverAmerica.com has seen a significant rise in the special offers section of its website as British consumers continue to look for a holiday bargain. The travel information website has seen traffic to this section double during 2010; while it has seen a 65 percent increase in UK users through January 2011 compared to last year. “The increased traffic shows that customers are using the site to research holidays and seek out hundreds of special offers posted by UK and Irish tour operators, providing excellent choices and real value for money,” said Roger Dow, president and CEO of the U.S. Travel Association. The top five cities researched were New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston and Las Vegas, with searches also up for Alaska and Montana.
