VietJet will launch flights between Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) and Taipei this winter.
Commencing 14 December, VietJet will operate five round trips with a flight capacity of 1,800 seats per week.
With a flight duration of 3h25min, the new service will depart HCMC’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 1430 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The return leg will depart Taipei Songshan Airport at 2000.
Commenting on the move, VietJet’s business development manager, Desmond Lin, said: “The demand for business and tourism purpose travel to Taipei is growing all the time. We are also witnessing an increasing number of Vietnamese settling down in Taiwan and year-round festive occasions create a need for family visits and reunions.”
